Eid Vibes, PG Tales and Nostalgic Hugs

Eid is here, and guess what? I finally made it back to Trichy to celebrate! The comfort of home, the aroma of my favorite dishes, and the warmth of familiar faces nothing beats that feeling.  This morning, my alarm was practically screaming at me, and yeah, I snoozed it a million times. Waking up felt like a battle, but then it hit me I had to get up for the special Eid prayer. So, I did, half asleep but fully determined.  As soon as prayers were done, it was my duty to distribute sweets. So off I went, knocking on doors, sharing happiness (and sweets, of course). And then, reality check! My neighbors were waiting with their never-ending curiosity about my PG life. The Q&A session began, and let’s just say, I had some spicy hostel tales to share.  But what really made my day? Kanamma Pati. A retired nurse, 90 years old and an irreplaceable part of my childhood. My friends and I spent endless hours in her arms, listening to her magical stories. Seeing her after ...

A Little Too Far

Home isn’t just a place; it’s a feeling warm, familiar, and irreplaceable. No matter how far we wander, a part of us always longs for the comfort of home. This poem captures that bittersweet nostalgia, where memories of family, laughter, and love make every distance feel a little too far.  Long nights, city lights, but it ain't the same, Heart’s still stuck in a picture frame. Mom’s voice echoes through my mind, Dad’s old jokes, the warmest kind. Grandma’s food? A five-star meal, No takeout hits the way that feels. The couch still holds my shape, I bet, From lazy Sundays I can't forget. Four walls, one roof, but it’s more than a place, It’s hugs, it’s laughs, it’s love in space. Miles apart, but I still roam, In every thought I’m back at home.

Your Ear is a Womb

Image
Ever thought about how what you hear shapes your world? This post I stumbled upon hit me deep "Your ear is a womb." That line alone is enough to make you pause. The idea? Whatever you feed your mind through your ears, it grows, develops, and eventually births itself into your reality. Sounds poetic, but it’s real.   The Soundtrack of Your Life  Think about it. The music you vibe to, the conversations you soak in, the podcasts you binge, the words people throw at you they all leave a mark. If you constantly listen to negativity, gossip, or toxic narratives, guess what? That’s the reality you’re manifesting. Your mind starts believing what it hears on repeat.   On the flip side, if you surround yourself with uplifting words, deep convos, and inspiring beats, your thoughts align with that energy. It’s like curating a playlist for your life except this one isn’t just for Spotify, it’s for your subconscious.   Words are Seeds Think of words as seeds planted...

Fitness: The OG Power Move for a Lit Life

Ever had that moment when you climb a flight of stairs and suddenly feel like you’ve conquered Mount Everest except, instead of victory, you’re gasping for air like a fish out of water? Yeah, same. That’s when it hits you. Fitness isn’t just a buzzword; it’s the backbone of feeling alive.   Why Fitness is a Whole Mood Let’s get real staying fit isn’t about looking like a gym influencer or chasing impossible beauty standards. It’s about you vs you. It’s about waking up feeling fresh instead of dragging yourself through the day like a zombie on low battery. It’s about flexing, not just in front of a mirror, but in life.    Power Couple: Mind and Body People often think fitness is just about toned abs and flexed biceps, but guess what? Your mind needs fitness as much as your body. A solid workout can kick stress to the curb, boost your mood, and help you glow like the main character of your own story. Because let’s be honest, what’s the point of looking fit if you’...

Love, Fights and The Eternal Drama

"Love, Fights & The Eternal Drama, Why Are Couples Always Arguing?   This morning, while I was walking down the road, soaking in the morning chaos, I saw a couple absolutely going at it. Hands flying, dramatic eye-rolls, the whole Bollywood breakup scene playing live in front of me. And no, it wasn’t over something serious like, say, existential crises or world peace it was probably over a “Why didn’t you text back?” situation. Classic.   I kept walking, but my brain was stuck on The Great Mystery of Couple Fights. Like, why do couples who literally swear they can’t live without each other spend half their time arguing? It’s almost like love and war signed a secret contract to exist together. A paradox wrapped in “I love you, but OMG you annoy me”moments.   Love is Basically a Full-Time Internship in Arguing Think about it. The closer you get to someone, the more chances you have to argue about the dumbest things possible.   "Why did you...

My Little Cousin, the Dancing Star

Tiny Feet, Big Moves Today, my aunt sent me a video of my cousin sister dancing, and I’m still trying to process what I just saw. Like, how can a four-year-old dance that well? It’s insane!   She wasn’t just moving to the music she felt it. Every tiny step, every adorable twirl, and those perfectly timed expressions? Pure magic. It’s like she was born to own the stage. One second, she’s a little girl playing with her toys, and the next boom! A total rockstar, stealing hearts with every move.   What amazed me the most? Her confidence. No hesitation, no second-guessing just pure, unfiltered joy. The way she swayed, tapped, and twirled, as if the rhythm ran in her veins, left me speechless. It’s the kind of performance that makes you forget she’s only four.   I watched the video at least ten times, and trust me, it only got better. If she’s this good now, I can’t even imagine the level of talent she’s going to unleash in the future. The stage better be ready b...

Guess who Stole My Heart?

Walking through MCC feels like stepping into a Pinterest-worthy nature board ancient trees, golden sunlight filtering through, and the occasional squirrel minding its own business. It’s the kind of place where you don’t just walk; you wander, letting your thoughts drift with the breeze.   And then, boom out of nowhere, I spot a peacock.   Not gonna lie, I almost did a double take. There it was, casually strutting like it owned the place, its feathers flexing all shades of blue and green, shimmering like a living gemstone. No filters needed. It wasn’t just a bird; it was a whole aesthetic.   For a second, everything else blurred the assignments, the deadlines, the mental chaos. It was just me and this peacock vibing in the same space. And honestly? It was therapeutic. There’s something about nature pulling these little stunts when you least expect it, reminding you to slow down and breathe.   That peacock wasn’t in a hurry. It wasn’t stressing. It ...

From Space to Earth

Sunita Williams' Stellar Comeback: From Space Vibes to Earthly Vibes   Yo fam! Guess who just made a grand comeback from the cosmic realm? Our OG astronaut, Sunita Williams, who legit vibed with the stars for 9 long months, is finally back on Earth. And trust me, her return is not just "coming back home"  it's a whole vibe shift!    The Plot Twist   Sunita was supposed to have a quick space tour l, but destiny said, "Nah, girl, stay a little longer!" Thanks to Boeing's Starliner acting all moody with propulsion issues, her return got delayed. But like the true queen she is, Sunita owned every moment up there.    Making Science Lit While we were busy binge-watching Netflix, Sunita and her crewmate, Butch Wilmore, were dropping some serious science bombs. From experimenting with microgravity effects to exploring advanced materials, they turned the International Space Station (ISS) into a science lab on steroids.   ...

Late Night Vibes with My Grandma

You know that feeling when life feels too heavy, and you just want to vibe with someone who truly gets you? Well, that’s exactly what happened when I sat down for a deep convo with my soul therapist my grandma.  From childhood stories to life lessons, she poured her heart out while making my fav snack.  Her words? Pure magic. ✨   She spoke about how life was simpler back then no social media, no fake vibes, just raw emotions and pure connections. I couldn't help but wonder... Where did we lose that peace? In between her stories, she looked at me and said,   "Life is not about rushing to win, it's about slowing down to feel." Damn, that hit me hard. 🖤   I realized how caught up we are in chasing temporary things, while she finds joy in little moments – like a cup of chai or watching the sunset.  Her words felt like poetry, her vibe felt like home.  Sometimes, all we need is a heart-to-heart with people who have seen life beyond our...

When Pain Hits Different

Bruises on skin, cuts that bleed,   Pain that makes the body plead.   Bones crack, wounds burn deep,   Yet the world moves, while I silently weep.   Flesh torn, muscles sore,   Every step feels like a war.   The sting of needles, the ache in veins,   This body's trapped in endless chains.   Bandages cover what eyes can't see,   But oh, this pain keeps haunting me.   The nights scream louder than my voice,   Yet, healing ain't a choice.   Physical pain? It hits hard, no doubt,   But the strength within is what it's all about.

Unexpected Rain

Plot Twist: The Sky Just Had a Meltdown One second, it’s all sunshine and small talk. The next? Boom drama in the sky. No warning, no slow buildup, just straight-up main character energy from the rain. And suddenly, the world is in chaos.   People running like it’s an apocalypse, umbrellas flipping like they just gave up on life, and that one person (me) standing there, soaking it all in literally and emotionally. Because let’s be real, unexpected rain isn’t just weather; it’s a whole mood.   It smells like fresh starts and forgotten memories. Sounds like a lo-fi track playing in the background of a slow-motion scene. Feels like the universe just hit refresh, washing away all the stress, deadlines, and bad hair days.   And then, just like that, it’s gone. The sun peeks out, acting all innocent, like it didn’t just ghost us for a solid 20 minutes. The roads glisten, the air feels brand new, and I’m left standing there, drenched, smiling, and lowkey wis...

100 Reasons to Smile

Ever tried counting your blessings? No, not in a cliché, “be grateful” way, but actually sitting down and writing 100 people who’ve shaped your journey. Sounds easy? Trust me, it’s a rollercoaster ride of emotions.   When Shobana ma’am asked us to do this, I thought, Okay, this should be fun.But as I started, I realized it’s more than just a list. It’s a time machine, a reality check, and a soul cleanse all in one. The Emotional Chaos At first, it was all about the obvious ones family, close friends, favorite teachers. But then, something magical happened. My mind started digging deeper, unearthing forgotten faces and fleeting moments the random stranger who helped me when I was lost, the school friend who made me laugh till my stomach hurt, the senior who gave me life-changing advice. With each name, a memory unlocked. Some made me smile, others hit me like nostalgia on steroids. It made me realize: gratitude isn’t just about the big things it’s the little moments, the unsaid...

Women’s Day Win: A Moment That Hit Different! Last Women’s Day was the best. How can I actually forget it. I still remember the feeling of standing on that stage, receiving an honor for my achievements from Mrs. Deepa Mukundhan a  woman who’s nothing short of inspiring. With titles like Mrs. South India 2018 and Dazzle Mrs. India World Queen 2018, she’s someone who has truly owned her journey, and getting recognized by her? Unreal.   As I walked up to receive the award, a flood of emotions hit me. Pride, excitement, a little disbelief was this really happening? The applause, the cameras flashing, the whole event had this big energy that I still can’t get over. But more than anything, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude. This wasn’t just a moment of recognition; it was a reminder of everything that led up to it. The struggles, the effort, the times I had to push through doubts it all came full circle.   The event itself was an absolute vibe! Women fro...

A Date with My Book

Some people plan dinner dates, some go on coffee dates, but me? I take my book out on a date. And trust me, it’s the kind of company that never disappoints.   After a long, exhausting day, when the world feels too loud and everything seems to demand my attention, I know exactly where to escape to the pages of a book.No small talk, no distractions, just me and a world waiting to unfold. There’s something magical about getting lost in a story, where time slows down, and reality fades. With every page, I travel places, meet characters, and live a thousand lives all while sitting in my cozy little corner. Unlike people, books never let you down; they don’t judge, they don’t interrupt, and they always have something meaningful to say.   Tonight, as I sip on my tea and turn another page, I realize this is my kind of perfect date. No expectations, no pressure, just pure, uninterrupted bliss. Because sometimes, the best moments aren’t about being with others, but about enjoy...

Heidegger and the Typewriter

Heidegger and the Typewriter: Is Technology Changing the Way We Think? Today, we had the privilege of attending a thought-provoking lecture by a professor. Heidegger’s critique of the typewriter. While at first, I taught the idea of discussing such an “old-school” device might seem outdated in our digital age but honestly the lecture opened up a fascinating discussion on how technology shapes human thought and experience even today.   The Typewriter: A Mere Tool or a Transformation of Thought? Heidegger wasn’t just skeptical of the typewriter as a machine; he believed it fundamentally altered our relationship with writing. Unlike handwriting, which he saw as deeply personal and connected to human expression, the typewriter, according to him, distanced the writer from their words. The act of pressing keys transformed language into something mechanical words became mere signs rather than an extension of human thought.   This raises an interesting question: Does t...

Why Wait? AI Says Nah!

Why Is Patience Extinct? Blame It on AI! There was a time when waiting was normal waiting for a letter, waiting for a dial-up connection, waiting for water to boil. Now? We want everything now. Zero buffer, zero delays. If something takes more than a few seconds, frustration kicks in. And guess what? AI is the biggest culprit.   AI: The Speed Demon We Created   AI was meant to make life easier, but it ended up making us impatient. It reads our minds (or at least our search history), predicts our needs, and gives us answers before we even finish typing. No wonder we can’t tolerate slow replies, buffering videos, or even a three-second ad before a YouTube clip.   Remember when we used to flip through books to find answers? Now, AI-powered search engines serve information in a blink. When was the last time you actually waited for something without checking your phone? That’s right patience is out of style.   Instant Gratification = No Room for ...

Idlis at Risk

Are cancer causing chemicals creeping into our morning rituals? Have you ever stopped mid-bite of your favorite idli and wondered, “What if there’s more to this than meets the eye?” This morning, I came across some startling news that got my mind racing could our beloved idlis, a symbol of traditional goodness, be hiding a dangerous secret?   Imagine this: a food we’ve trusted for generations might be exposed to cancer-causing chemicals. How did something as innocent as our idlis get caught up in this modern mess of plastic contamination? It’s hard not to ask: Are we unknowingly compromising our health for the sake of convenience?   When Tradition Meets Modern-Day Plastics I’ve always seen idlis as a pure, wholesome start to the day. So when I learned that plastics those ever-present, trendy culprits of modern life might be infiltrating our food, I couldn’t help but feel a mix of shock and frustration. How did we let our cherished culinary practices fall victim to so...
