Valentine's Day Special Debate

Should Love Have a Holiday or Be Dismantled? – A Debate Worth Falling For!

Love  a forever thing or just another day in the calendar? That was the heated debate in class today, and trust me, the arguments were as passionate as love itself!

Team A stood firm: Love is eternal. It doesn’t need a designated day because it exists in every moment, every breath. They argued that if love had a “holiday,” it could create unrealistic expectations, leading to disappointments. Some pointed out that love is organic, not something to be scheduled. And what about those with strict parents? Wouldn’t this day be their only chance to celebrate love openly? Another angle? The commercialization of love should we really be measuring it in expensive gifts?

Team B, on the other hand, believed in celebrating love with a holiday. They saw it as a milestone, a chance to cherish moments that often slip away in the rush of life. Privacy, reflection, and togetherness this day offers a reason to pause and truly embrace love. One pointed out how today’s employees are either drowning in the past or stressing over the future. A love holiday would help them break free and celebrate the now. And it’s not just about gifts sometimes, words or a simple rose means more than a diamond ring.

So, where do we land? Love is not bound by time, but a special day can serve as a reminder a reset button to appreciate love in all its forms. It’s not about grand gestures but about making space for emotions, words, and moments that often get buried under deadlines and responsibilities. Whether love needs a holiday or not, one thing is clear love deserves to be felt, celebrated, and lived.

So, what’s your take? Love every day or save it for a special one?
