Sweet Reunions

Sometimes, the best plans… are no plans at all.  I still can’t believe it one random thought, a sudden spark, and boom! I found myself booking a ticket to Trichy without a second thought. Zero prep, zero overthinking just pure vibes and a heart full of excitement. And guess what? That impulsive little plan turned out to be everything I needed and more.  The moment I stepped into Trichy, it felt like a hug from the universe. Warm winds, familiar streets, and the comfort of home without walls. But the real magic? My people.  I finally met my parents after ages, and the cherry on top? My grandparents flew in all the way from Mumbai! After six whole months, I got to hug my granny, listen to her nostalgic stories, and just sit beside her in calm silence – and trust me, that silence spoke volumes. And hey – what’s a family reunion without a food fiesta? We went full-on foodie mode, relishing our all-time favourite dishes – from crispy dosas to spicy biryanis and, of cou...

Sky Thoughts

Ever stared at the sky for a while? Like really stared  not while scrolling, not while walking, but just lying back, looking up, and watching clouds drift? They move. They morph. One moment they look like dragons, the next cotton candy. And then poof they’re gone. Just like that. That’s life. Everything is a passing cloud. Your heartbreak? A cloud. Heavy, grey, rumbling. But it’ll pass. It always does. That exam stress? A cloud. Thunderous, sure. But it won’t last forever. One submission, one deadline, and then… it clears. Even happiness , that uncontrollable laughter with friends, those late-night deep talks, the adrenaline of a first crush  they’re clouds too. Soft, fluffy ones that you wish would stay. But even they float away. Not because they’re cruel, but because they’re meant to be fleeting. And you know what? That’s the beauty of it all. If pain didn’t pass, peace wouldn’t either. If joy stayed forever, we’d stop noticing it. If people never left, new ones wouldn’t arr...

Biscuits, Barks & a Beautiful Heart

While I was walking down a usual dusty road, scrolling through random thoughts, something made me pause. A woman. Simple saree. No fuss. No air. Just grace and goodness in motion. She stood near a tiny roadside shop, buying biscuits. Not one or two at least ten. I blinked. Maybe she’s hosting kids? A little picnic? A temple offering? But then came the real magic. From nowhere or maybe from everywhere a bunch of street dogs began gathering around her. Tails wagging like windmills, eyes gleaming like they knew her soul. She didn’t flinch. She didn’t shoo. She smiled. She opened each packet like it was wrapped in love and fed those furry friends  one by one. Gently. Patiently. Like a mother who remembers who likes what. I stood there. Heart full. In a world where people sometimes forget to even smile at one another, this woman was feeding lives that many don't even notice. She didn’t do it for Instagram. She wasn’t looking for applause. She was just... kind. Soft-spoken to the voicele...

City Lights, Closed Minds

“Is Watching Movies a Crime?”  This morning, I stumbled upon a story that shook something inside me. She didn't say it with anger just honesty. A girl spoke about her childhood. No name-dropping, no dramatic monologue , just raw truth. Born and brought up in a city, yet locked inside a mindset so tight, even air needed permission to pass. No phones. No movies.  Why? Because “a girl should stay within her limits.” She said she wasn't even allowed to watch movies ,something most of us take for granted. Not because of financial constraints, but due to a deep-seated belief system. Her house wasn’t in the woods. It was in a city, yet her world felt like a cage built on invisible morals. But here's the twist. She broke the bubble. Now, she walks the halls of a reputed institution, smarter, stronger, and soaring despite what society did to clip her wings. And it made me wonder… Why is watching movies still seen as ‘corrupting’ in some households? Is cinema a threat or a mirror? Ar...

The Silent Flex That's Killing Us

This evening while scrolling through Twitter, I wasn’t looking for an existential crisis. I was just vibing. Laughing at memes. Bookmarking reels I’ll never rewatch. Then BAM , a tweet slapped me harder than my 7 AM alarm: “South Korea’s birth rate hits historic low: 5.0 per 1,000 people.” “Schools shutting down. Towns vanishing. Panic mode on.” Wait. What? We’re running out of people?! Excuse me, I didn’t sign up for the apocalypse in soft launch mode. Where Did All the Babies Go? Let’s cut the fluff: We’re ghosting the next generation. Literally. Birth rates are free-falling globally:  South Korea: down 88% since 1950  Japan: More adult diapers sold than baby ones (no joke) Italy: 28% of villages have zero children Germany and Spain: Also vibing in the no-kids club And while governments are out here throwing cash at fertility (hello, ¥500,000 childbirth bonuses in Japan 👀), nothing’s working. Why? Because we’re too tired, too br...
