From Pongal Vibes to Pongal Traffic

It was Pongal vibes on campus, and after ages, I found myself doing something that felt both exciting and challenging wearing a saree. Let’s be real, I’m not exactly a pro at draping, but major shoutout to my amazing friend Nancy for stepping in and making me look like a saree queen. Trust me, her draping skills deserve a standing ovation.

Now, let me tell you, walking in a saree is no joke. It’s like balancing elegance and survival at the same time. But somehow, I managed to pull it off, embracing the graceful chaos. After our classes wrapped up, it was time for what we do best an impromptu photoshoot. Despite the limited crowd, the moments we captured were priceless. And honestly, isn’t posing with friends half the fun of any event?

As the day came to a close, I quickly packed up and headed home, navigating my saree-clad self through the journey. Thankfully, I reached safely (because saree struggles are real, guys!).

Now Packing my bags to leave for Trichy after a vibrant Pongal celebration on campus felt bittersweet. Little did I know, the day had more surprises (and challenges) in store for me.

The journey began with the inevitable Pongal traffic chaos. Stuck in a sea of vehicles, I couldn’t help but reminisce about the festive vibes back on campus. But hey, patience is a virtue, right? Fast forward a few hours, I finally made it to Trichy, touching down at 11:30 pm.

As expected, my dad was there to pick me up always the dependable one. But this time, there was a twist. Mom was waiting in the car too!It was the sweetest surprise after a long and tiring journey. That warm, familiar hug erased all the exhaustion from the day.

Reaching home felt like a reward in itself. The next few hours were spent catching up with my parents, sharing laughs, and soaking in the comfort of home. And now, here I am, reflecting on it all the  Pongal vibes on campus, the hustle of traffic, and the joy of being home as I type this blog.

Some days are tiring, but they’re also the ones that leave you with moments to cherish. This was one of them. Here’s to family, festivities, and finding joy in the journey!
