Penguins in Mumbai

Image
If you told me a week ago that I’d be watching penguins in Mumbai, I’d have laughed out loud. But hey, life loves to surprise us! Byculla Zoo turned out to be the ultimate plot twist in my mundane routine.   Picture this: adorable little tuxedo-wearing birds waddling around like they're straight out of an animated movie. Yep, penguins! Real, breathing, diving penguins! I stood there, wide-eyed, watching them splash into the water and glide effortlessly like aquatic ballerinas. The way they played with each other made me forget the chaos of the city outside. For a moment, it felt like I had stepped into another dimension.   But the penguins weren’t the only stars of the show. The zoo is like a treasure trove of wildlife! Bears lazing around like they owned the place, hyenas giving off major villain vibes, leopards slinking through their enclosures with unmatched grace, and alligators chilling like it was their spa day. The bird section was a riot of colors and chirps,...

Marine Drive Diaries

Image
Today was all kinds of crazy in the best way possible! The plan was simple: hit up Marine Drive in Mumbai, vibe with my cousins, and soak in the sunset. But of course, life had other plans, and the day turned into a mix of fun, adventure, and unexpected twists. The journey began with a long drive across the Cable Bridge . The car ride? Absolute vibes. Our playlist was on fire, and we were jamming to all our favorite tracks like no one was watching. Between the singing and some classic car games, the laughter was nonstop. Oh, and my little cousin, who’s just 4 years old and has more energy than all of us combined, insisted on sitting in my lap the entire time. Where does she even get that energy? Someone should bottle it up and sell it! As we cruised through the city, Mumbai's iconic skyscrapers kept us company, setting the perfect scene. By the time we reached Marine Drive , the golden hour was in full swing. The sunset was a masterpiece, painting the sky in hues of orange and p...

A visit to Shah Rukh Khan's Mannat

A Day with the King, His Son, and the Waves When you're in Mumbai, every day feels like a movie waiting to happen and yesterday was my big Bollywood moment! It all started with a visit to Mannat, the iconic home of Shah Rukh Khan, with my cousins. The scene outside was like something straight out of a fan fest. Dozens of people were gathered, their phones ready to capture even a glimpse of the King of Bollywood. And then, as if on cue, SRK himself stepped out! The crowd erupted with cheers as he waved his hand, radiating that signature charm. For a moment, it felt like he was waving at me (okay, probably not, but let me live the dream). That surreal moment had us buzzing with excitement. Post the Mannat magic, we hit Bandra Beach, the perfect place to let the adrenaline settle. The salty breeze, golden sands, and endless waves set the mood. We ditched our shoes and let loose running along the shore, splashing water at each other, and laughing like we hadn’t in ages. And, of c...

Exploring the Epic Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre

I'm super stoked to share my latest experience with you all! Recently, I visited the iconic Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai with my fabulous cousins, and it was an absolute blast! Aesthetic Alert: NMACC's Got Game! As we stepped into the NMACC, we were immediately struck by the stunning architecture, beautifully landscaped gardens, and serene ambiance. It's like stepping into a tranquil oasis in the midst of bustling Mumbai! And, guess what? The centre was all decked up for Christmas, complete with a majestic Christmas tree that added to the festive cheer Magic Moments: Unicorns and More! But that's not all! We were also treated to a magical sight  HUGE, glittering unicorns that seemed to have sprung to life from a fairy tale! It was like walking into a fantastical world, and we couldn't get enough of it! The World's Largest Elevator. And, if you thought that was all, think again! We also got to experience the thrill of riding the WORLD'...

Finally, Mumbai Magic

Guess what? I finally landed in the city that never sleeps—Mumbai! Reuniting with my cousins after what felt like forever was nothing short of magical. Each moment is a vibe, and trust me, we’re living it up!   Let me introduce you to the littlest ball of energy in our squad Mahirah, my smallest cousin. She’s literally my shadow, hanging out with me everywhere like my personal hype squad. Today was no different.   The day started on a high note when I went to pick Mahirah from her dance class. She danced her way into the car with all the enthusiasm in the world. Next stop? My cousin brother’s football coaching. And oh boy, he wasn’t done there.   With his puppy eyes and endless energy, he insisted we hit up a smoothie spot. And let me tell you, it was worth every sip. That smoothie was yummy-yummy, a legit explosion of flavors in every gulp. We laughed, chatted, and forgot the world for a while.   But wait what’s a perfect day without a tiny twist...

Wake Up Vibes

Lazy Mornings & Paneer Paratha Feels  Waking up lazily on a cozy morning, I stretched like a cat basking in the sun, savoring the quiet. My eyes landed on my mom, glowing in a bright Punjabi suit. "What's the scene, Maa?" I asked, still half-asleep.   With a smile, she said, "Reunion with friends, beta. Also, Paneer Paratha for breakfast. Don’t skip!"   "Alrighttt," I replied, yawning. But wait, hold up  I realized I had to toss it in the oven and do all the extra effort. Nope, not happening on my lazy day!    Dad entered ,rushing out the door, a whirl of ties and to-do lists. "Dad, can you please fix my breakfast? Pretty please?" I pleaded, giving him my best puppy eyes. Though he was pressed for time, he came through like the hero he is and made it happen.   Paneer Paratha paired with ketchup  one bite and I was in foodie heaven! As I devoured my plate, my gaze drifted to the window. The world outside felt like a sl...

A Rabadi Reunion

After what felt like an eternity, I finally landed in Trichy a place that smells like nostalgia and feels like home. The journey was long, my playlist had been on loop way too many times, and my patience was running thin. But the second I stepped through the door, all my exhaustion melted away. Because there it was the smell of home.   Mom greeted me with her signature smile, and the dining table greeted me with something even better: food. Not just food, but home-cooked happiness. You know that feeling when your taste buds go into overdrive even before you take a bite? Yep, that was me. From the classic dal-chawal to perfectly crispy dosas, every dish felt like a warm hug after a cold day.   But the showstopper? Mom’s rabadi. Creamy, dreamy, and straight-up divine. It wasn’t just dessert; it was an emotion served in a bowl. One spoonful and BAM taste buds activated. It was like a flavor explosion that said, “Welcome home, kid.” The sweetness, the richness, and...

VC feels like Home

After what felt like ages, I finally had a video call with my grandparents, and let me tell you it was everything my soul needed. Between deadlines and scrolling through reels, I’d forgotten how comforting their voices could be. But the moment their faces lit up my screen, it felt like a warm hug from the past.   Grandpa was the first to pick up, squinting at the camera like it was some futuristic gadget from a sci-fi movie. “Can you see me? Can you hear me?” Classic grandpa vibes! And grandma? Oh, she was ready with her usual love-filled complaints: “Why didn’t you call earlier? Have you been eating properly? You look so tired!”   We dived into the updates. Grandpa shared his gardening triumphs.. Grandma was all about her new recipe experiments, insisting I note them down even though I barely manage to toast bread without burning it.   Then came the fun part: the filters. I showed them how to use those funky AR filters, and seeing grandpa with a crown and ...

Lost in the AirPods Abyss

Living with a roommate is supposed to be a mix of chaos, fun, and random late-night gossip sessions. But what do you do when your roommate’s entire world revolves around those tiny white AirPods? Forget bonding over funny rants she can’t even hear me calling her name when she’s just a bed away. It’s almost comical. I’ll be like, “Hey, can you pass me my charger?” Nothing. “HELLO?” Still nothing. It’s like trying to talk to a mannequin. Finally, after exhausting my patience, I just call her phone, from my bed. And then, casually, she’s like, “Oh, what happened?”WHAT HAPPENED? Girl, I’ve been trying to talk to you for five minutes!   One time, I thought we were having a conversation, but turns out, she was humming along to some playlist. I asked her a question, and she gave me a blank stare. That’s when I realized she didn’t even know I was talking to her.   Phones and AirPods have swallowed our generation whole. It’s like these devices have turned us into emotionally ...

Sick December: Fever, Feels, and PG Blues

December hit differently this year chilly vibes, cold breeze, and me in a PG, away from my mom for the first time.  Think again. This wasn’t your Hallmark winter. This was sick December. And I mean sick in the worst way possible fever, sneezes, homesickness, and a desperate craving for mom's magical cure-all rasam.   It all started with the weather. One day, I’m feeling like the main character in a cozy winter novel, and the next, I’m curled up under  blankets, shivering like I’m auditioning for a disaster movie. The PG air? Dry. The food? Meh. The comfort? Non-existent.   You know what they don’t tell you about being sick in a PG? No one pampers you. At home, my mom would’ve already wrapped me in a blanket burrito, brought steaming soup, and sat beside me, asking a million times if I was feeling better. Here? Nada. I was my own nurse, doctor, and emotional support system.   Every moment felt heavier without mom’s familiar voice scolding me for no...

Rain Diaries

Rainy Mood: Where Chaos Meets Calm Rain isn’t just water falling from the sky ,it’s a vibe. On days like this, the world shifts gears, and everything feels a little more introspective. It’s as if the rain whispers secrets to those willing to listen. Whether it’s the calming sound of raindrops tapping on your window or the refreshing air that fills your lungs, there’s something about the rain that makes you pause, breathe, and reflect. The way the world changes when it rains is nothing short of magical. Streets become glistening runways, trees seem to stand taller, and the air smells fresher like nature’s reset button. It’s the perfect excuse to ditch the usual hustle and find comfort in stillness. On rainy days, time seems to slow down. It’s the ideal setting to indulge in your favorite book, binge-watch that show you’ve been putting off, or just have some quality time with your thoughts. There’s a certain kind of peace that only rain can bring, the kind that makes you feel both g...

Six Years of Blogging

Six Years of Blogging: From Chaos to Consistency Whoa, six years of blogging? How did that even happen? I still remember being that awkward 11th grader, clueless about what to write but buzzing with excitement. Shoutout to my dad for casually dropping the idea of starting a blog because look at me now! Back then, I didn’t even know what “finding your voice” meant. My blog was all over the place, but honestly? That’s what made it fun. In 11th grade, my posts were pure randomness PT gossip, endless BTS fangirling (because ARMY forever, duh), and those late-night overthinking sessions that felt so deep at the time. My blog was my vibe check. It didn’t matter if three people read it or thirty I was just having the time of my life writing whatever popped into my head.  Then came 12th grade, and my posts got a little...spicy. I started digging into controversial topics, and let me tell you, the drama was real . Every weekend, I’d drop posts that had people talking, questioning...

Pancakes, Presents and Surprises

Surprising My Roomie on Her Birthday Today is the day, the birthday of my amazing roomie, and let me tell you, I was ready to make it special!  Birthdays are all about creating those unforgettable moments, and I was determined to make this one count. So, here’s how I surprised her! I started the day off by making her favorite breakfast pancakes!  I woke up early (yes, I sacrificed a bit of sleep) to whip up a stack of fluffy pancakes. Of course, I piled them high with syrup, chocolate chips, and all the good stuff she loves. When she walked into the kitchen and saw the breakfast spread, her face lit up with excitement. Mission breakfast, successful! Next, I handed her the gift I’d been hiding a cute frock I knew she'd love! I’d been thinking about what would make her smile, and I nailed it with this one. She was totally surprised and super happy.  But I wasn’t done yet! I had another surprise up my sleeve: the cake.  I secretly ordered her a cake she had been eyeing ...

My Childhood Drama

Today, my mom sent me a throwback picture from my childhood me, a tiny bean, in the pool at KC Club. It instantly took me back to those summer days when my parents, in their infinite wisdom, thought swimming was the perfect skill for me to learn. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t.   I was terrified of water. The idea of swimming gave me major cold feet, so I’d invent the lamest excuses to skip class. “My head hurts,” “I left my swimsuit at home,” “I think it’s going to rain” you name it, I tried it. But skating? Now that was my jam. I never missed a skating class. Wheels on my feet, wind in my hair, pure bliss.   One fateful day, my excitement got the better of me. I thought it was a skating day, so I happily tagged along. Surprise! It was actually a swimming class. My mood tanked instantly. I sulked all the way, only to have my master hit me with the ultimate challenge: jump off the slide into the pool. The deep side of the pool.   Cue full-on Mr. Bean vibes. I sto...

Cooking with Friends

There’s something special about cooking with friends it’s not just about the food but the joy of creating something together. One of my favorite memories was the time we decided to tackle a classic dish paneer butter masala with roti. Armed with a recipe and a lot of enthusiasm, we turned the kitchen into our playground. We divided tasks one friend took charge of making the masala, another tackled the roti dough, and I somehow got stuck with chopping onions (cue the dramatic tears). The masala preparation was a mix of seriousness and silliness. As the butter melted and the aroma of spices filled the air, we couldn’t resist sneaking tastes from the pan, pretending to be master chefs critiquing the flavor. Meanwhile, the roti station was another story entirely. Rolling out perfect circles was apparently harder than it looked most of our rotis ended up looking like maps of unknown countries. We laughed so hard that tears rolled down our faces as we tried to “fix” them. Despite the...

Life is a Reel

The Allure and Influence of Film In a world where metaphors spice up conversations, films often steal the show as the go-to comparison for life's twists and turns. Be it a dramatic love story, a jaw-dropping plot twist, or a villainous betrayal, we constantly find ourselves saying, “This feels straight out of a movie!” But what makes film so special? Why do we see our own lives reflected in the glittering frames of cinema? Let’s roll the reel and find out.   The Spotlight on Relatability   Films aren’t just entertainment they’re mirrors of human emotions. Whether it’s the raw heartbreak of La La Land or the adrenaline-packed grit of The Dark Knight, movies tap into universal feelings that resonate with everyone. We see ourselves in the characters, relate to their struggles, and cheer for their victories. Life feels chaotic, unpredictable, and often too much to handle. And then comes cinema, wrapping up the chaos in a neat 2-hour narrative with a satisfying endi...
