Rewinding the good times
A random conversation with my school friend quickly became an hour of reminiscing, laughter, and a few moments of "OMG, did we really do that?"
We started with the usual “How are you?” but soon found ourselves talking about our school days those carefree moments that shaped us. We talked about how we spent hours playing football during lunch breaks, how antakshari (that epic Bollywood song game) would erupt out of nowhere, and the wild gossip sessions that seemed to go on forever. Good times, right?
I couldn't help but laugh when we remembered the basketball games where neither of us could actually dribble properly but still acted like pros. And then, there was that school trip to Cochin that will forever be iconic in our lives. The late-night games, sneakily watching movies on the bus, and that feeling of absolute freedom those were peak moments.
Lunchtime was always a highlight. Everyone brought food from home, representing different states and cultures. The smell of idlis mixing with parathas and biryani was enough to make us all drool. We literally had a whole “food fusion” going on every single day!
We also remembered how our 11th and 12th grades were such a turning point in life. It wasn’t just about academics (though the pressure was real), but about figuring out who we wanted to be, dreaming big, and trying to balance it all while having fun. We became more than friends we became each other's support systems. We hyped each other up, celebrated small wins, and picked each other up after the occasional fails.
What hit me hard during this conversation was how much has changed. We're adults now, chasing dreams, dealing with life’s ups and downs, but that bond? That never fades. It’s funny how just a few words can pull you right back into the past, reminding you of the person you used to be and how far you’ve come.
So here’s a shout-out to all those friends who keep our memories alive, remind us where we came from, and are always down for a nostalgic trip anytime, anywhere.
Life moves fast, but these conversations? They’re the little pitstops that remind us to smile and cherish the journey. Keep those chats alive, and trust me, it’ll be worth it.
