My First Murder

Last night, around 11:00 PM, I found myself in a showdown I never anticipated. As I stood by the kitchen sink of my PG, meticulously washing dishes and organizing my space, I noticed an unexpected visitor.oh yes guys.. This wasn’t just any ordinary insect. It was a centipede, its many legs scuttling awkwardly on the tiled floor, making a beeline for me.

Imagine seeing a creature straight out of a nightmare, its countless legs moving with a sinister purpose which was heading towards me. My heart raced, and a shriek escaped my lips. Panic washed over me like a tidal wave. My heart was pounding like a drum solo at a rock concert. My roommates, rushed towards me and were paralyzed in fear.

We stood there, a group of modern warriors facing an ancient menace. As the senior in the room, I knew I had to take charge. My mother’s words echoed in my mind: “Respond, don’t react.” With trembling hands and a racing heart, I ordered my roommate to fetch the weapon which is the broomstick  in this unexpected battle.

The centipede, struggling on the smooth tiles, seemed to mock my fear. Yet, as I held the broomstick, I felt a surge of determination. It was a battle between my fear and my resolve. On one hand, I pitied the creature; on the other, I knew I had to protect my roommates.

With the swing of broomstick I managed to kill it. The centipede lay still, and a wave of relief washed over me. In that moment, I felt like a lioness defending her pride, victorious and proud. It wasn’t just an insect I had conquered, but my own fear.

This encounter with the centipede was more than just a moment of terror; it was a testament to the strength we all have within us, waiting to be unleashed when faced with the unexpected. And as I shared this story with my friends, they encouraged me to share it with the world.

So here it is, my tale of courage in the face of the night crawler. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the most daunting challenges can reveal our true strength.
